求你眷顧你在古時所救贖的子民，你揀選為產業的族類，求你眷顧你所居住的錫安山。

「我知道耶和華已經把這地方賜給你們，我們十分害怕。這裡所有的居民都嚇得膽戰心驚。

從今天起，我要使天下萬民在你面前驚恐萬狀，一聽到你的名字就嚇得發抖。』

次日清晨，拿八酒醒以後，他妻子把發生的一切告訴他，他嚇得昏死過去，身體僵硬如石。

所到之處無人能抵擋你們，因為你們的上帝耶和華會使那些地方的人對你們充滿懼怕，正如祂對你們的應許。

主耶穌為我們犧牲自己，要救贖我們脫離一切罪惡，並潔淨我們，使我們作祂的子民，成為熱心行善的人。

耶和華必拯救雅各的子孫，從強敵手中救出他們。

以往曾經有假先知在百姓中出現，將來在你們中間也同樣會有假教師出現。他們暗地裡引進使人沉淪的異端邪說，甚至否認那位買贖他們的主。這些人正迅速地自招滅亡。

但你們是蒙揀選的族群，是君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是上帝的子民，因此你們可以宣揚上帝的美德。祂曾呼召你們離開黑暗，進入祂奇妙的光明。

祂保護祂的聖民，使惡人在黑暗中滅亡，因為得勝不是靠人的勇力。

但在以色列人中，連狗也不會向人或牲畜吠叫，這樣你們就知道耶和華將把埃及人和以色列人分開。

現在，倘若你們認真聽從我的話，遵守我的約，就必在萬民中做我的子民，因為普天下都是我的。你們要歸於我，作祭司之國、聖潔之邦。這些話你要告訴以色列人。』」

難道不是你使海洋和深淵乾涸，在海中開出道路讓蒙救贖的人穿過的嗎？

但以色列人屬於耶和華，雅各是祂的產業。

世上哪個民族比得上你的以色列子民呢？你從埃及救出他們，讓他們做你的子民，又彰顯你的大名，行神蹟奇事，把列國及其神明從你的以色列子民面前趕走。

雅各啊，以色列啊，創造你、使你成形的耶和華說：「不要害怕，我已經救贖了你；我點名呼召了你，你屬於我。你穿越洪濤，我必與你同在；你渡過江河，必不會被水淹沒；你在火中走過，必不會被燒傷，火焰不會燒到你身上。因為我是你的上帝耶和華，是以色列的聖者，是你的救主。我用埃及作你的贖價，使古實和西巴代替你。

你們要為自己，也要為教會的群羊警醒，因為聖靈已經任命你們做群羊的監督，牧養上帝的教會。教會是主用自己的血贖回來的。

你所到之處，我必使那裡的人惶恐不安，使你一切的仇敵都在你面前轉身逃跑。

愚昧無知的人啊，你們就這樣報答耶和華嗎？祂是你們的父，你們的創造主，祂創造了你們，塑造了你們。
