耶稣在加利利的迦拿行了这头一件神迹，显明了他的荣耀，他的门徒们就信了他。

来到玛丽亚那里的许多犹太人，看到耶稣所做的事，就信了耶稣。

当耶稣在耶路撒冷过逾越节的时候，许多人看见他所行的这些神迹，就信了他的名。但耶稣自己却信不过他们，因为他了解所有的人。他也不需要谁来见证人的事，因为他知道人里面是什么。

那‘岩石’，是这样的人：他们一旦听了，就怀着喜乐的心接受了这话语；可是这些人没有根，他们暂时相信，而在试炼的时候，就离开信仰了。

耶稣说这些话的时候，许多人就信了他。于是耶稣对信他的犹太人说：“你们如果住在我的话语中，就真是我的门徒了，并且你们将明白真理，而真理将使你们自由。”

我的肉体因惧怕你而战栗，我敬畏你的法规。

那时他们才相信了他的话，歌唱对他的赞美。但他们很快就忘记了他的作为，也没有等候他的带领。

于是撒母耳向耶和华呼求，耶和华就在那日降下雷雨，全体民众都非常惧怕耶和华和撒母耳。

连西门自己也信了。他受洗以后，常常跟着腓利，看见所行出来的神迹和大能，就十分惊讶。
