这是耶稣所行的第一件神迹，是在加利利的迦拿行的。他显出了自己的荣耀，他的门徒就信了他。

有许多到马利亚那里去的犹太人，看见了耶稣所作的事，就信了他。

耶稣在耶路撒冷过逾越节的时候，许多人看见他所行的神迹，就信了他的名。耶稣却不信任他们，因为他知道所有的人，也不需要谁指证人是怎样的，因为他知道人心里存的是什么。

那落在石头地上的，就是人听了，欢欢喜喜地接受，但是没有根，不过是暂时相信，一旦遭遇试炼，就倒退了。

耶稣说这些话的时候，就有许多人信了他。于是耶稣对信了他的犹太人说：“你们若持守我的道，就真是我的门徒了；你们必定认识真理，真理必定使你们自由。”

耶和华对摩西说：“看哪，我要在密云中降临到你那里，为要使人民在我与你说话的时候可以听见，也可以永远信你。”于是，摩西把人民的话告诉了耶和华。

我因惧怕你而战栗；我畏惧你的审判。

第二天早晨，众人清早起来，出发到提哥亚的旷野去；他们正出去的时候，约沙法站起来，说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，你们要听我的话；信靠耶和华你们的神，你们就必坚立；信靠他的先知，你们就必亨通。”

那时他们才相信他的话，唱歌赞美他。可是他们很快就忘记了他的作为，不仰望他的意旨，

人民就相信了；他们听见耶和华眷顾以色列人，也鉴察了他们的痛苦，就俯伏敬拜。

于是撒母耳向耶和华呼求，耶和华就在那天打雷降雨，众民就非常惧怕耶和华和撒母耳。

连西门自己也信了，他受洗之后，常和腓利在一起，看见所发生的神迹和大能的事，就觉得很惊奇。
