因為、永恆主啊，試看你的仇敵！看哪，你的仇敵必滅亡；一切作孽之人必都離散。你卻高舉了我的角、如野牛的角；你用油滲透了我。我親眼看到那窺伺我者遭報，我親耳聽見那起來攻擊我、的惡人受罰。

從前主曾儘一次地救了他的人民出埃及地，後來又叫不信的人滅亡；這一切事你們雖都知道了，我的意思還是要提醒你們記得。

那一天永恆主使以色列人得勝，一直戰到伯和崙。

於他們一切的患難中。並不是大使、不是天使、乃是他自己的臨在、拯救了他們；是以他的愛和憐惜才贖回了他們；是儘往古之日就懷抱了他們，懷搋了他們。

不過你要親眼看着，看到惡人遭報。

這樣、永恆主就拯救了希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脫離亞述王西拿基立的手，也脫離一切仇敵的手；使他們四面平靜。
