你忘記了造你的耶和華，就是那展開諸天，奠定大地的根基的；又因那欺壓者準備行毀滅的時候所發的烈怒，你就終日不住懼怕呢？其實那欺壓者的烈怒在哪裡呢？

海水沖出如嬰孩出母胎，那時誰用門把海水關閉呢？是我以雲彩當作海的衣服，以幽暗當作包裹海的布；我為海定界限，又安置門閂和門戶，說：‘你只可到這裡，不可越過，你狂傲的波浪要在這裡止住。’

使海，就是大淵的水乾涸，使海的深處變為蒙救贖的人經過之路的，不是你嗎？

你的道路經過海洋，你的路徑穿過大水，但你的腳蹤無人知道。你曾藉著摩西和亞倫的手，帶領你的子民如同帶領羊群一樣。

他卻把自己的子民領出來好像領羊群，在曠野引導他們像引導群畜一樣。他帶領他們平平安安地走過去，所以他們不懼怕；海卻淹沒了他們的仇敵。

你從水中經過的時候，我必與你同在；你渡過江河的時候，水必不淹沒你；你從火中行走的時候，必不會燒傷；火燄也不會在你身上燒起來。

那使自己榮耀的膀臂在摩西的右邊行走，那在他們面前把水分開，為要建立永遠的名的，他在哪裡呢？那帶領他們走過深海，像馬走過曠野一樣，使他們不致跌倒的，在哪裡呢？

水就停住了，那從上游流下來的水立起成壘，在很遠的地方，就是在撒拉但旁邊的亞當城那裡停住；那往下流入亞拉巴海，就是鹽海的水完全被截斷；於是人民就在耶利哥的對面過了河。
