天主賜人綏安、誰能擾亂、天主若掩面、誰能覲之、其待一國待一人皆如是、

故我於其前驚惶、我思念及此、則甚懼之、天主使我喪膽、全能之主、使我戰慄、

彼眾一見、即甚驚訝、惶恐遁逃、

主一視地、地即震動、主一捫山、山即冒煙、

天主之使者、昔行於以色列軍前、今遷而行其後、雲柱亦由其前而遷於其後、適當伊及與以色列兩軍之間、在彼則為雲為暗、在此則為光於夜、致彼此終夜不得相近、

明日掃羅分民為三隊、味爽時、原文作曉更時攻入敵營、殺亞捫人至日近午、存者四散、無二人集於一處者、

爾曰、天主豈能知下界乎、豈能自密雲中鑒察乎、

脫其車輪、使之難行、伊及人曰、耶和華代以色列人攻我儕、不如避之而遁、
