Moses stretched out his hand toward the sea, and the LORD drove the sea apart by a strong east wind all that night, and he made the sea into dry land, and the water was divided.

And as for you, lift up your staff and extend your hand toward the sea and divide it, so that the Israelites may go through the middle of the sea on dry ground.

By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.

Our ancestors in Egypt failed to appreciate your miraculous deeds, they failed to remember your many acts of loyal love, and they rebelled at the sea, by the Red Sea.Yet he delivered them for the sake of his reputation, that he might reveal his power.He shouted at the Red Sea and it dried up; he led them through the deep water as if it were a desert.He delivered them from the power of the one who hated them, and rescued them from the power of the enemy.
