Hold out your walking stick. Reach out your hand over the Red Sea to divide the water. Then the people can go through the sea on dry ground.

Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground.

But take this staff in your hand so you can perform the signs with it.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Stretch out your hand over the sea so that the waters may flow back over the Egyptians and their chariots and horsemen.”

So Moses took his wife and sons, put them on a donkey and started back to Egypt. And he took the staff of God in his hand.

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and all that night the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind and turned it into dry land. The waters were divided,and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with a wall of water on their right and on their left.

The Lord Almighty will lash them with a whip, as when he struck down Midian at the rock of Oreb; and he will raise his staff over the waters, as he did in Egypt.

“ Take the staff, and you and your brother Aaron gather the assembly together. Speak to that rock before their eyes and it will pour out its water. You will bring water out of the rock for the community so they and their livestock can drink.”So Moses took the staff from the Lord’s presence, just as he commanded him.

“ When Pharaoh says to you,‘ Perform a miracle,’ then say to Aaron,‘ Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a snake.”

Then the Lord said to him,“ What is that in your hand?”“ A staff,” he replied.

Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank.
