Raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea to divide the water so that the Israelites can go through the sea on dry ground.

Hold out your walking stick. Reach out your hand over the Red Sea to divide the water. Then the people can go through the sea on dry ground.

耶和華對摩西說：「你向海伸出手，使海水回流，淹沒埃及軍隊。」

於是，摩西拿著上帝的杖，帶著妻子和兒子騎驢返回埃及。

摩西向海伸出手，耶和華便整夜用強勁的東風吹退海水，將海底變成乾地。海水分開後，以色列人踏著乾地走入海中，海水如兩道牆立在他們左右。

萬軍之耶和華要鞭打他們，就像在俄立磐石擊殺米甸人，就像祂向海伸杖，使海水淹沒埃及人。

「你拿著杖和你哥哥亞倫招聚會眾，當著他們的面吩咐磐石流出水來，水就會從磐石流出，供會眾和牲畜喝。」摩西遵命而行，從耶和華面前取了杖，

「倘若法老要你們行神蹟給他看，你就吩咐亞倫把手杖丟在法老面前，使杖變作蛇。」

耶和華對摩西說：「你手裡拿的是什麼？」摩西說：「是一根手杖。」

接著，摩西舉起手中的杖擊打磐石兩下，水便噴湧而出，會眾和牲畜都喝了。
