This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.

When you celebrate this holy day, it will be like a mark on your hand. It will be like a reminder on your forehead. This law of the Lord must be on your lips. The Lord used his mighty hand to bring you out of Egypt.

And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt.

This annual festival will be a visible sign to you, like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. Let it remind you always to recite this teaching of the Lord:‘ With a strong hand, the Lord rescued you from Egypt.’

Let it serve as a sign for you on your hand and as a reminder on your forehead, so that the LORD’s instruction may be in your mouth; for the LORD brought you out of Egypt with a strong hand.

It shall be to you for a fringe, that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute;

But they do all their works to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments,

Moses said to the people,“ Remember this day, in which you came out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand Yahweh brought you out from this place. No leavened bread shall be eaten.

My son, let them not depart from your eyes. Keep sound wisdom and discretion:

Yahweh said to Moses,“ Now you shall see what I will do to Pharaoh, for by a strong hand he shall let them go, and by a strong hand he shall drive them out of his land.”God spoke to Moses, and said to him,“ I am Yahweh.I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty; but by my name Yahweh I was not known to them.I have also established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their travels, in which they lived as aliens.Moreover I have heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered my covenant.Therefore tell the children of Israel,‘ I am Yahweh, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will rid you out of their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm, and with great judgments.I will take you to myself for a people. How then shall Pharaoh listen to me, when I have uncircumcised lips?”Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, and gave them a command to the children of Israel, and to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt.These are the heads of their fathers’ houses. The sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel: Hanoch, and Pallu, Hezron, and Carmi; these are the families of Reuben.The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanite woman; these are the families of Simeon.These are the names of the sons of Levi according to their generations: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari; and the years of the life of Levi were one hundred thirty- seven years.The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, according to their families.The sons of Kohath: Amram, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel; and the years of the life of Kohath were one hundred thirty- three years.The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their generations.Amram took Jochebed his father’s sister to himself as wife; and she bore him Aaron and Moses. These are the heads of the fathers’ houses of the Levites according to their families.These are that Aaron and Moses to whom Yahweh said,“ Bring out the children of Israel from the land of Egypt according to their armies.”These are those who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring out the children of Israel from Egypt. These are that Moses and Aaron.On the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt,Yahweh said to Moses,“ I am Yahweh. Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I tell you.”Moses said before Yahweh,“ Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips, and how shall Pharaoh listen to me?”

Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of Yahweh! Awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?

But the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.

Therefore in one day her plagues will come: death, mourning, and famine; and she will be utterly burned with fire; for the Lord God who has judged her is strong.

Behold, the Lord Yahweh will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

“ As I live,” says Yahweh,“ though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, yet would I pluck you from there.

“ As for me, this is my covenant with them,” says Yahweh.“ My Spirit who is on you, and my words which I have put in your mouth shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your offspring, nor out of the mouth of your offspring’s offspring,” says Yahweh,“ from now on and forever.”

But what does it say?“ The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach:

These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart;

This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for Yahweh your God is with you wherever you go.”

You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.

Yahweh thunders his voice before his army; for his forces are very great; for he is strong who obeys his command; for the day of Yahweh is great and very awesome, and who can endure it?

My son, keep your father’s commandment, and don’t forsake your mother’s teaching.Bind them continually on your heart. Tie them around your neck.When you walk, it will lead you. When you sleep, it will watch over you. When you awake, it will talk with you.For the commandment is a lamp, and the law is light. Reproofs of instruction are the way of life,

Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Your walls are continually before me.

“ Now these are your servants and your people, whom you have redeemed by your great power, and by your strong hand.

for they will be a garland to grace your head, and chains around your neck.

In that day, Yahweh with his hard and great and strong sword will punish leviathan, the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the twisted serpent; and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea.

Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of Yahweh.

Until an arrow strikes through his liver, as a bird hurries to the snare, and doesn’t know that it will cost his life.
