This observance will be for you like a sign on your hand and a reminder on your forehead that this law of the Lord is to be on your lips. For the Lord brought you out of Egypt with his mighty hand.

When you celebrate this holy day, it will be like a mark on your hand. It will be like a reminder on your forehead. This law of the Lord must be on your lips. The Lord used his mighty hand to bring you out of Egypt.

And it shall be to you as a sign on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the law of the Lord may be in your mouth. For with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt.

This annual festival will be a visible sign to you, like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. Let it remind you always to recite this teaching of the Lord:‘ With a strong hand, the Lord rescued you from Egypt.’

And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this[ place]: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion:

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old.[ Art] thou not it that hath cut Rahab,[ and] wounded the dragon?

But the word[ is] very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong[ is] the Lord God who judgeth her.

Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong[ hand], and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward[ is] with him, and his work before him.

[ As] I live, saith the LORD, though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet upon my right hand, yet would I pluck thee thence;

As for me, this[ is] my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that[ is] upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed’s seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee,[ even] in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God[ is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand,[ and] high is thy right hand.

And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp[ is] very great: for[ he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD[ is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:Bind them continually upon thine heart,[ and] tie them about thy neck.When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and[ when] thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.For the commandment[ is] a lamp; and the law[ is] light; and reproofs of instruction[ are] the way of life:

Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of[ my] hands; thy walls[ are] continually before me.

Now these[ are] thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand.

For they[ shall be] an ornament of grace unto thy head, and chains about thy neck.

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that[ is] in the sea.

Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love[ is] strong as death; jealousy[ is] cruel as the grave: the coals thereof[ are] coals of fire,[ which hath a] most vehement flame.

Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it[ is] for his life.
