天主之使者、昔行於以色列軍前、今遷而行其後、雲柱亦由其前而遷於其後、適當伊及與以色列兩軍之間、在彼則為雲為暗、在此則為光於夜、致彼此終夜不得相近、於是摩西伸手於海上、主使東風大吹、飄揚終夜、使海水退、海中如陸地而水分析、以色列人行於海中、如行陸地、水壁立其左右、伊及人法老一切車馬軍騎、皆追之入海、天將旦時、主自雲柱火柱中、俯視伊及軍、亂其隊伍、

摩西入幕時、雲柱下降、立於幕門、主遂與摩西言、眾民見雲柱立幕門則皆起、各於己幕門俯伏而拜、

當時有雲覆會幕、主之榮光盈於其中、因雲覆會幕上、主之榮光充之、故摩西不能入會幕、雲由幕上升、以色列人方啟行遄徵、雲若不上升、則不啟行、以待雲升之日、凡以色列人遄徵、晝有主之雲於幕上、夜有火光於幕內、在以色列眾人之目前、

於是主在遍郇山、及其上一切民會之所、使晝有雲煙、夜有火焰之光輝、凡得尊榮者、必蒙護庇、凡得尊榮者必蒙護庇或作在諸榮華之上將有覆幬亦將有遮庇之處、或作亦將有幕晝可作陰以避暑、亦可為掩蔽之所、以避狂風暴雨、
