“ Consecrate to me every firstborn male. The first offspring of every womb among the Israelites belongs to me, whether human or animal.”

“ Set apart for me the first boy born in every family. The oldest son of every Israelite mother belongs to me. Every male animal born first to its mother also belongs to me.”

「你牛羣羊羣中頭生的，凡是公的，都要分別為聖，歸給耶和華－你的神。頭生的牛，不可用牠來耕作；頭生的羊，不可剪牠的毛。

正如主的律法上所記：「凡頭生的男子必歸主為聖」；

他們所有奉給耶和華的，無論是人是牲畜，凡頭胎的，都要歸給你；但是人的長子，一定要贖出來。不潔淨牲畜中頭生的，也要贖出來。

因為凡頭生的是我的；我在埃及地擊殺所有頭生的那日，就把以色列中所有頭生的，無論是人或牲畜，都分別為聖歸我；他們定要屬我。我是耶和華。」

「頭生的，就是牲畜中頭生屬耶和華的，人不可再將牠分別為聖，無論是牛是羊都是耶和華的。

「不可遲延獻你的莊稼、酒和油。「要將你頭生的兒子歸給我。你的牛羊也要照樣做：七天當跟着牠母親，第八天你要把牠歸給我。

有名字記錄在天上眾長子的盛會，有審判眾人的神和成為完全的義人的靈魂，

「要把地裏最好的初熟之物帶到耶和華－你神的殿中。「不可用母山羊的奶來煮牠的小山羊。」

因為他們是從以色列人中全然獻給我的；我選他們歸我，代替以色列人中所有頭胎的長子。因為以色列人中凡頭生的，無論是人或牲畜，都是我的。我在埃及地擊殺所有頭生的那日，已將他們分別為聖歸我。

你要對法老說：『耶和華如此說：以色列是我的兒子，我的長子。

你要將一切頭生的獻給耶和華；你牲畜中頭生的，公的都歸耶和華。然而，凡頭生的驢，你要用羔羊贖回；若不贖牠，就要打斷牠的頸項。你兒子中的長子都要贖出來。日後，你的兒子問你說：『這是甚麼意思？』你就說：『耶和華用大能的手將我們從埃及為奴之家領出來。那時法老固執，不肯放我們走，耶和華就把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都殺了。因此，我把一切頭生的公的牲畜獻給耶和華為祭，卻將所有頭生的兒子贖出來。

「凡頭生的都是我的；無論是牛是羊，一切頭生的公的牲畜都要分別出來。頭生的驢可以用羔羊代贖。若不贖牠，就要打斷牠的頸項。凡頭生的兒子都要贖出來。沒有人可以空手來朝見我。
