凡有血肉的、一切頭胎的、無論是人是牲口、他們所獻與永恆主的、都要歸與你；只是人類頭胎的、你總要贖出來；不潔淨的牲口頭胎的、你也要贖出來。

因為一切頭胎的都是我的：我在埃及地擊殺一切頭胎的那一天，就把以色列中一切頭胎的、無論是人是牲口、都分別為聖而歸我：他們是屬我的：我永恆主。』

『惟獨牲口中頭胎的、無論是牛是羊、既作為歸永恆主的頭胎者，人就不必再把牠分別為聖，因為這本是永恆主的。

『你從收成的莊稼中和滴流的酒醡中拿來奉獻、不可遲延。『要將你的頭胎兒子獻給我。對你的牛羊、你也要這樣作：七天牠可以和牠的母在一起，第八天你就要將牠獻給我。

有名錄在天上諸首生者的歡樂盛會或總聚會、有審判主、萬人的上帝、有已得完全的義人之靈、

『要把你地裏上好的初熟物送到永恆主你的上帝的殿。『不可用山羊羔母的奶子去煮山羊羔。

因為他們是以色列人中正式完全獻與我的；是代替以色列人中一切頭胎的、一切首開母胎的人；我取了他們而歸我。以色列人中一切頭胎的、連人帶牲口、都是我的；我在埃及地擊殺了一切頭胎的那一天、就將他們分別為聖而歸我了。

你要對法老說：「永恆主這麼說：以色列是我的兒子，我的長子。

那時候、你要使一切頭胎的人和你所有一切頭胎的小牲口、都走過來、歸於永恆主：陽性的都要屬於永恆主。凡頭胎的驢、你要用小羊去替贖；若不替贖，就要打折牠的脖子。凡你兒子當中頭胎的，你都要贖出來。日後你的兒子若問你說：「這是甚麼意思？」，你要對他說：「是永恆主用他手的權能將我們從埃及、從為奴之家領出來。那時法老硬不要讓我們走，永恆主就把埃及地所有頭胎的，無論是頭胎的人、或是頭胎的牲口、都殺了，因此我把一切頭胎的公牲畜祭獻給永恆主，而將我一切頭胎的兒子都贖出來。

『凡頭胎的都是我的；一切牲畜、無論是牛是羊、凡公的頭胎的都是我的。頭胎的驢、你要用小羊去替贖；若不替贖，就要打折牠的脖子。凡你所有頭胎的兒子、你都要贖出來。『誰也不可空手朝見我。
