Every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck; and you shall redeem all the firstborn of man among your sons.

Redeem with a lamb every firstborn donkey, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem every firstborn among your sons.

By sacrificing a lamb, buy back every male donkey born first to its mother. But if you don’t buy the donkey back, break its neck. Buy back every oldest son.

A firstborn donkey may be bought back from the Lord by presenting a lamb or young goat in its place. But if you do not buy it back, you must break its neck. However, you must buy back every firstborn son.

These are those who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed by Jesus from among men, the first fruits to God and to the Lamb.

For the redemption of the two hundred seventy- three of the firstborn of the children of Israel who exceed the number of the Levites,you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; according to the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them( the shekel is twenty gerahs);and you shall give the money, with which their remainder is redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons.”Moses took the redemption money from those who exceeded the number of those who were redeemed by the Levites;from the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred sixty- five shekels, according to the shekel of the sanctuary;and Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to Yahweh’s word, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said to them,“ Draw out, and take lambs according to your families, and kill the Passover.

Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying,‘ On the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household;
