這些人未曾沾染婦女，他們原是童身。羔羊無論往哪裏去，他們都跟隨他。他們是從人間買來的，作為初熟的果子歸給神和羔羊。

以色列人頭生的男子比利未人多了二百七十三名，必須把他們贖出來；按照人丁，照聖所的舍客勒，每人當付五舍客勒，一舍客勒是二十季拉。你要把這些多出來的人的贖銀交給亞倫和他的兒子。」於是摩西從那被利未人所贖以外多出來的人取了贖銀。從頭生的以色列人所取的銀子，按照聖所的舍客勒，共計一千三百六十五舍客勒。摩西遵照耶和華指示的話，把贖銀交給亞倫和他的兒子，正如耶和華所吩咐的。

於是，摩西召了以色列的眾長老來，對他們說：「你們要為家人取羔羊，把逾越的羔羊宰了。

你們要吩咐以色列全會眾說：本月初十，各人要按着家庭取羔羊，一家一隻羔羊。
