Take care of them until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the members of the community of Israel must slaughter them at twilight.

On the fourteenth day of the first month at twilight is the LORD’s Passover.

The priests and the Levites were ashamed, and sanctified themselves, and brought the burnt offerings to the house of the Lord.They stood in their place according to their custom, according to the Law of Moses the man of God; the priests sprinkled the blood received from the hand of the Levites.For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves; therefore the Levites had charge of the slaughter of the Passover lambs for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to the Lord.For a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying,“ May the good Lord provide atonement for everyone

On the fourteenth day of the second month, at twilight, they may keep it. They shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

“ For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

“ I have heard the complaints of the children of Israel. Speak to them, saying,‘ At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God.’”

“ In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall observe the Passover, a feast of seven days; unleavened bread shall be eaten.

Now the Lord spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying:“ Let the children of Israel keep the Passover at its appointed time.On the fourteenth day of this month, at twilight, you shall keep it at its appointed time. According to all its rites and ceremonies you shall keep it.”

Then the whole multitude of them arose and led Him to Pilate.

Then the multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do just as he had always done for them.

But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitudes that they should ask for Barabbas and destroy Jesus.

On the first day you shall have a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread, until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.

And they all cried out at once, saying,“ Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”—

And all the people answered and said,“ His blood be on us and on our children.”

“ Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the Lord your God, for in the month of Abib the Lord your God brought you out of Egypt by night.Therefore you shall sacrifice the Passover to the Lord your God, from the flock and the herd, in the place where the Lord chooses to put His name.You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction( for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.And no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day at twilight remain overnight until morning.“ You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which the Lord your God gives you;but at the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide, there you shall sacrifice the Passover at twilight, at the going down of the sun, at the time you came out of Egypt.

Him, being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, you have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.

Now it was the third hour, and they crucified Him.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,“ Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is,“ My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said,“ This Man is calling for Elijah!”Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.The rest said,“ Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.

Now when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.And at the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying,“ Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which is translated,“ My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

But the chief priests stirred up the crowd, so that he should rather release Barabbas to them.

All we like sheep have gone astray; We have turned, every one, to his own way; And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
