Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each man is to take a lamb for his family, one for each household.

Speak to the whole community of Israel. Tell them that on the tenth day of this month each man must get a lamb from his flock. A lamb should be chosen for each family and home.

Tell all the congregation of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man shall take a lamb according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household.

Announce to the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month each family must choose a lamb or a young goat for a sacrifice, one animal for each household.

Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying,‘ On the tenth of this month they are, each one, to take a lamb for themselves, according to the fathers’ households, a lamb for each household.

In the morning, present yourselves tribe by tribe. The tribe the LORD selects is to come forward clan by clan. The clan the LORD selects is to come forward family by family. The family the LORD selects is to come forward man by man.

“ You speak to us, and we will listen,” they said to Moses,“ but don’t let God speak to us, or we will die.”

“ Therefore tell the Israelites: I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from the forced labor of the Egyptians and rescue you from slavery to them. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and great acts of judgment.

The LORD said to Moses,“ Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to break camp.

Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new unleavened batch, as indeed you are. For Christ our Passover lamb has been sacrificed.

Then Samuel took a young lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. He cried out to the LORD on behalf of Israel, and the LORD answered him.

The next day, when the large crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,

He must bring his penalty for guilt for the sin he has committed to the LORD: a female lamb or goat from the flock as a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement on his behalf for his sin.

And Abel also presented an offering— some of the firstborn of his flock and their fat portions. The LORD had regard for Abel and his offering,

When he saw Jesus passing by, he said,“ Look, the Lamb of God!”

Then Josiah donated thirty thousand sheep, lambs, and young goats, plus three thousand cattle from his own possessions, for the Passover sacrifices for all the lay people who were present.

Aaron repeated everything the LORD had said to Moses and performed the signs before the people.

Abraham answered,“ God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” Then the two of them walked on together.

You are to keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; then the whole assembly of the community of Israel will slaughter the animals at twilight.

The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,“ Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

The LORD spoke to Moses in the tent of meeting in the Wilderness of Sinai, on the first day of the second month of the second year after Israel’s departure from the land of Egypt:“ Take a census of the entire Israelite community by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of every male one by one.You and Aaron are to register those who are twenty years old or more by their military divisions— everyone who can serve in Israel’s army.A man from each tribe is to be with you, each one the head of his ancestral family.These are the names of the men who are to assist you: Elizur son of Shedeur from Reuben;Shelumiel son of Zurishaddai from Simeon;Nahshon son of Amminadab from Judah;Nethanel son of Zuar from Issachar;Eliab son of Helon from Zebulun;from the sons of Joseph: Elishama son of Ammihud from Ephraim, Gamaliel son of Pedahzur from Manasseh;Abidan son of Gideoni from Benjamin;Ahiezer son of Ammishaddai from Dan;Pagiel son of Ochran from Asher;Eliasaph son of Deuel from Gad;Ahira son of Enan from Naphtali.These are the men called from the community; they are leaders of their ancestral tribes, the heads of Israel’s clans.”So Moses and Aaron took these men who had been designated by name,and they assembled the whole community on the first day of the second month. They recorded their ancestry by their clans and their ancestral families, counting one by one the names of those twenty years old or more,just as the LORD commanded Moses. He registered them in the Wilderness of Sinai:The descendants of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting one by one the names of every male twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Reuben numbered 46,500.The descendants of Simeon: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, those registered counting one by one the names of every male twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Simeon numbered 59,300.The descendants of Gad: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Gad numbered 45,650.The descendants of Judah: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Judah numbered 74,600.The descendants of Issachar: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Issachar numbered 54,400.The descendants of Zebulun: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Zebulun numbered 57,400.The descendants of Joseph: The descendants of Ephraim: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Ephraim numbered 40,500.The descendants of Manasseh: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Manasseh numbered 32,200.The descendants of Benjamin: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Benjamin numbered 35,400.The descendants of Dan: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Dan numbered 62,700.The descendants of Asher: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Asher numbered 41,500.The descendants of Naphtali: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, counting the names of those twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,those registered for the tribe of Naphtali numbered 53,400.These are the men Moses and Aaron registered, with the assistance of the twelve leaders of Israel; each represented his ancestral family.So all the Israelites twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in Israel’s army, were registered by their ancestral families.All those registered numbered 603,550.But the Levites were not registered with them by their ancestral tribe.For the LORD had told Moses,“ Do not register or take a census of the tribe of Levi with the other Israelites.Appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They are to transport the tabernacle and all its articles, take care of it, and camp around it.Whenever the tabernacle is to move, the Levites are to take it down, and whenever it is to stop at a campsite, the Levites are to set it up. Any unauthorized person who comes near it is to be put to death.“ The Israelites are to camp by their military divisions, each man with his encampment and under his banner.The Levites are to camp around the tabernacle of the testimony and watch over it, so that no wrath will fall on the Israelite community.”The Israelites did everything just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

“ Speak to the Israelites and tell them: When any of you brings an offering to the LORD from the livestock, you may bring your offering from the herd or the flock.

This is to be done for each ox, ram, lamb, or goat.

Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was, the one Jesus had raised from the dead.

All those who live on the earth will worship it, everyone whose name was not written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slaughtered.

Then I saw one like a slaughtered lamb standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth.He went and took the scroll out of the right hand of the one seated on the throne.When he took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the saints.And they sang a new song: You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slaughtered, and you purchased people for God by your blood from every tribe and language and people and nation.You made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they will reign on the earth.Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels around the throne, and also of the living creatures and of the elders. Their number was countless thousands, plus thousands of thousands.They said with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing!I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, under the earth, on the sea, and everything in them say, Blessing and honor and glory and power be to the one seated on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever!

After this I looked, and there was a vast multitude from every nation, tribe, people, and language, which no one could number, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes with palm branches in their hands.And they cried out in a loud voice: Salvation belongs to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!All the angels stood around the throne, and along with the elders and the four living creatures they fell facedown before the throne and worshiped God,saying, Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen.Then one of the elders asked me,“ Who are these people in white robes, and where did they come from?”I said to him,“ Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
