At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

At midnight the Lord struck down every oldest son in Egypt. He killed the oldest son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne. He killed all the oldest sons of prisoners. He also killed all the male animals born first to their mothers among the livestock.

At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock.

我对你说过：放我的儿子走，好事奉我。你还是不肯放他走。看哪，我要杀你头生的儿子。’”

在埃及击杀所有的长子，在含的帐棚中击杀他们壮年时头生的。

称谢那击杀埃及凡是头生的，因他的慈爱永远长存。

他又击杀他们国内所有的长子，就是他们强壮时头生的。

摩西说：“耶和华如此说：‘约到半夜，我必出去走遍埃及。凡在埃及地，从坐宝座的法老到推磨的婢女所生的长子，以及一切头生的牲畜，都必死。

因为以色列人中凡头生的，无论是人或牲畜，都是我的。我在埃及地击杀所有头生的那日，已将他们分别为圣归我。

那时，埃及人正埋葬他们的长子，就是耶和华在他们中间所击杀的；耶和华也惩治了他们的众神明。

因为那夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地一切头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都击杀了；我要对埃及所有的神明施行审判。我是耶和华。

一瞬间他们就死亡。百姓在半夜中被震动而去世；有权力的被夺去，非藉人手。

那时法老固执，不肯放我们走，耶和华就把埃及地所有头生的，无论是人是牲畜，都杀了。因此，我把一切头生的公的牲畜献给耶和华为祭，却将所有头生的儿子赎出来。

因为凡头生的是我的；我在埃及地击杀所有头生的那日，就把以色列中所有头生的，无论是人或牲畜，都分别为圣归我；他们定要属我。我是耶和华。”

锡安哪，我因与你立约的血，要从无水坑里释放你中间被囚的人。

被掳的即将得释放，不至于死而下入地府，也不致缺乏食物。

因着信，他设立逾越节，在门上洒血，免得那毁灭者加害以色列人的长子。

因为你们自己明明知道，主的日子来到会像贼在夜间突然来到一样。人正说平安稳定的时候，灾祸忽然临到他们，如同阵痛临到怀胎的妇人一样，他们绝逃脱不了。

他们就拿住耶利米，把他丢在王的儿子玛基雅的井里；那口井在护卫兵的院中。他们用绳子把耶利米缒下去，井里没有水，只有淤泥，耶利米就陷在淤泥中。

第二天，耶和华行了这事。埃及的牲畜全都死了，只是以色列人的牲畜，一只都没有死。

他们必被聚集，像囚犯困在牢里，他们被关在监狱，多日之后便受惩罚。

有名字记录在天上众长子的盛会，有审判众人的上帝和成为完全的义人的灵魂，

这样，他们用绳子将耶利米从井里拉上来。耶利米仍在护卫兵的院中。
