At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

At midnight the Lord struck down every oldest son in Egypt. He killed the oldest son of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne. He killed all the oldest sons of prisoners. He also killed all the male animals born first to their mothers among the livestock.

At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sat on his throne to the firstborn of the captive who was in the dungeon, and all the firstborn of the livestock.

And that night at midnight, the Lord struck down all the firstborn sons in the land of Egypt, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sat on his throne, to the firstborn son of the prisoner in the dungeon. Even the firstborn of their livestock were killed.

我對你說過：『你要讓我的兒子走，讓他去事奉我』；你還是不肯讓他走；看吧，我必將你的長子殺死。」』

要稱謝那擊殺埃及的首生者的，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；

摩西說：『永恆主這麼說：「大約在半夜，我必出去巡行埃及國中。在埃及地所有頭胎生的都必死：從坐王位的法老的長子，到推磨的婢女的長子，以及所有頭胎的牲口，都必死。

以色列人中一切頭胎的、連人帶牲口、都是我的；我在埃及地擊殺了一切頭胎的那一天、就將他們分別為聖而歸我了。

那時埃及人正埋葬他們的一切頭胎的、就是永恆主在他們中間所擊殺的；永恆主對他們的神明也施行判罰。

這一夜裏、我要巡行埃及地，把埃及地一切頭胎生的、無論是人是牲口、都擊殺掉；埃及一切神明我也要判罰：我永恆主。

一眨眼他們就死亡、於半夜中；平民被震撼而過去；有權勢的被除滅、非借人手。

那時法老硬不要讓我們走，永恆主就把埃及地所有頭胎的，無論是頭胎的人、或是頭胎的牲口、都殺了，因此我把一切頭胎的公牲畜祭獻給永恆主，而將我一切頭胎的兒子都贖出來。

因為一切頭胎的都是我的：我在埃及地擊殺一切頭胎的那一天，就把以色列中一切頭胎的、無論是人是牲口、都分別為聖而歸我：他們是屬我的：我永恆主。』

錫安哪、你，你也如此，為了和你立的約之血、我必將你中間被擄被囚的人從無水坑中釋放出來。

屈身的俘虜很快就要得開釋了；他必不死而到冥坑去，他也不至於缺乏食物。

因着信、他立了逾越節，行灑血禮，免得那毁滅者觸害着他們的首生者。

因為你們自己明確地曉得主的日子就像個賊夜裏來到一樣。人正說平安穩妥的時候，就在那時、突來的死滅就臨到他們了——正如產難臨到懷孕的婦人一樣——他們斷不能逃脫。

他們就拿住耶利米，給扔在王子瑪基雅的井裏；那井在護衛監的院子裏；他們用繩子將耶利米縋下去。井裏沒有水，只是淤泥；耶利米就沉陷在淤泥中。

第二天永恆主就行這事：埃及的牲畜都死了；屬以色列人的牲畜、一隻也沒有死。

他們必被聚集，像俘虜被聚集於坑中，被監禁於監牢裏；過了許多日子就被察罰。

有名錄在天上諸首生者的歡樂盛會或總聚會、有審判主、萬人的上帝、有已得完全的義人之靈、

他們便這樣用繩子拉耶利米，從井裏給拖上來。耶利米仍在護衛監的院子裏呆着。
