The Lord will give you the land, just as he promised. When you enter it, keep this holy day.

Then in the morning return to your tents.For six days eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day hold an assembly to the Lord your God and do no work.Count off seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing grain.

See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it.

You are not to do as we do here today, everyone doing as they see fit,since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you.
