When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.

且勿傷地與海與樹、待我印我天主眾僕之額、

當是夕、我必巡行伊及地、擊伊及地諸長子、與牲畜所首生者、亦毀伊及人所拜之群神、我乃主也、血塗於爾居之室、為爾作徵、我一見此血、即逾越爾室、我在伊及地行擊時、災不及爾身以滅爾、

亦勿怨讟、如彼中有人怨讟、而滅於滅命者、

老幼處子、孩提婦女、俱當殺盡、惟有號於額者勿殺、殺必始於我之聖所、彼乃自殿前之長老始、

主諭之曰、爾巡行耶路撒冷邑中、凡因邑中所行可憎之事、嗟嘆欷歔者、則畫號於其額上、

有新約之中保耶穌、及所灑之血、此血彷彿有言、較亞伯血之言尤善、

天使向耶路撒冷舉手、以滅其居民、以滅其居民原文作以滅之主悔降此災、或作主心回意轉不欲復降此災遂諭滅民之使者曰、今足矣、可止爾手、其時主之使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿之禾場、

主之使者出、在亞述營中殺十八萬五千人、蚤起視之、惟屍而已、
