“七月十日是赎罪日，你们要举行圣会，禁食，献火祭给耶和华。

耶和华说，如果你们想保住性命，就要小心，不要在安息日带货物进耶路撒冷的城门，也不要从家中运出货物，不要在安息日做任何工作。要按照我对你们祖先的吩咐守安息日为圣日。

你们要在那天召开圣会，不可做日常工作。不论住在哪里，你们都要世代遵守这永远不变的律例。

“在七月十五日那一天，你们要举行圣会，不可工作，为耶和华守节期七天。

“你告诉以色列人，‘你们要在七月一日休息，要吹号作纪念，召开圣会。你们不可做日常工作，要献火祭给耶和华。’”

要知道，耶和华已将安息日赐给你们，所以第六天我会赐你们双倍的食物。第七天，人人都要留在营中，不许外出。”
