“ On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.

是夜我將巡行埃及、擊其長子、與羣畜首生者、而罰埃及諸神、我乃耶和華、

我耶和華是夜將遍行通國、擊埃及人長子、與畜首生者、凡埃及人之上帝我必敗之。

當是夕、我必巡行伊及地、擊伊及地諸長子、與牲畜所首生者、亦毀伊及人所拜之群神、我乃主也、

“ That same night I will pass through Egypt. I will strike down all those born first among the people and animals. And I will judge all the gods of Egypt. I am the Lord.

For I will pass through the land of Egypt that night, and I will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and on all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments: I am the Lord.

On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn son and firstborn male animal in the land of Egypt. I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt, for I am the Lord!

“ I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night and strike every firstborn male in the land of Egypt, both people and animals. I am the LORD; I will execute judgments against all the gods of Egypt.

For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and fatally strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from the human firstborn to animals; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments— I am the Lord.

who were burying all their firstborn, whom the Lord had struck down among them; for the Lord had brought judgment on their gods.

God also said to Moses,“ I am the Lord.

When the Lord goes through the land to strike down the Egyptians, he will see the blood on the top and sides of the doorframe and will pass over that doorway, and he will not permit the destroyer to enter your houses and strike you down.

The Philistines had abandoned their gods there, and David gave orders to burn them in the fire.

There in the temple of the sun in Egypt he will demolish the sacred pillars and will burn down the temples of the gods of Egypt.’”

God presides in the great assembly; he renders judgment among the“ gods”:

A prophecy against Egypt: See, the Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt with fear.

I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior.I have revealed and saved and proclaimed— I, and not some foreign god among you. You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,“ that I am God.Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:“ For your sake I will send to Babylon and bring down as fugitives all the Babylonians, in the ships in which they took pride.I am the Lord, your Holy One, Israel’s Creator, your King.”

But I will spare a few of them from the sword, famine and plague, so that in the nations where they go they may acknowledge all their detestable practices. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”

The Lord will be awesome to them when he destroys all the gods of the earth. Distant nations will bow down to him, all of them in their own lands.

There will be wailing in all the vineyards, for I will pass through your midst,” says the Lord.

Make models of the tumors and of the rats that are destroying the country, and give glory to Israel’s god. Perhaps he will lift his hand from you and your gods and your land.

When the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, there was Dagon, fallen on his face on the ground before the ark of the Lord! They took Dagon and put him back in his place.

“ Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.

Jesus answered them,“ Is it not written in your Law,‘ I have said you are“ gods”’?If he called them‘ gods,’ to whom the word of God came— and Scripture cannot be set aside—

At midnight the Lord struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.Pharaoh and all his officials and all the Egyptians got up during the night, and there was loud wailing in Egypt, for there was not a house without someone dead.

then his master must take him before the judges. He shall take him to the door or the doorpost and pierce his ear with an awl. Then he will be his servant for life.

So Moses said,“ This is what the Lord says:‘ About midnight I will go throughout Egypt.Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the female slave, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well.There will be loud wailing throughout Egypt— worse than there has ever been or ever will be again.

“ I said,‘ You are“ gods”; you are all sons of the Most High.’
