The Israelites acted on Moses’s word and asked the Egyptians for silver and gold items and for clothing.And the LORD gave the people such favor with the Egyptians that they gave them what they requested. In this way they plundered the Egyptians.

I clothed you in embroidered cloth and provided you with fine leather sandals. I also wrapped you in fine linen and covered you with silk.I adorned you with jewelry, putting bracelets on your wrists and a necklace around your neck.I put a ring in your nose, earrings on your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.So you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was made of fine linen, silk, and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour, honey, and oil. You became extremely beautiful and attained royalty.

God has taken away your father’s herds and given them to me.
