What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath— prepared for destruction? (niv)

His wisdom is profound, his power is vast. Who has resisted him and come out unscathed? (niv)

Why do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh did? When Israel’s god dealt harshly with them, did they not send the Israelites out so they could go on their way? (niv)
