No one could see anyone else or move about for three days. Yet all the Israelites had light in the places where they lived.

在埃及營和以色列營中間有雲柱，一邊黑暗，一邊發光，終夜兩下不得相近。

興起，發光！因為你的光已經來到！耶和華的榮耀發現照耀你。看哪，黑暗遮蓋大地，幽暗遮蓋萬民，耶和華卻要顯現照耀你；他的榮耀要現在你身上。萬國要來就你的光；君王要來就你發現的光輝。

所以，主耶和華如此說：我的僕人必得吃，你們卻飢餓；我的僕人必得喝，你們卻乾渴；我的僕人必歡喜，你們卻蒙羞。我的僕人因心中高興歡呼，你們卻因心中憂愁哀哭，又因心裏憂傷哀號。

惟獨以色列人所住的歌珊地沒有冰雹。

我要引瞎子行不認識的道，領他們走不知道的路；在他們面前使黑暗變為光明，使彎曲變為平直。這些事我都要行，並不離棄他們。

那時你們必歸回，將善人和惡人，事奉神的和不事奉神的，分別出來。」

惟有你們是被揀選的族類，是有君尊的祭司，是聖潔的國度，是屬神的子民，要叫你們宣揚那召你們出黑暗入奇妙光明者的美德。

他救了我們脫離黑暗的權勢，把我們遷到他愛子的國裏；

你們列祖哀求耶和華，他就使你們和埃及人中間黑暗了，又使海水淹沒埃及人。我在埃及所行的事，你們親眼見過。你們在曠野也住了許多年日。
