and that you may tell in the hearing of your son and your son’s son the mighty things I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord.”

并要叫你将我严厉对付埃及的事，和在他们中间所行的神迹，传于儿子和孙子的耳中，好叫你们知道我是耶和华。”

并要叫你将我严厉对付埃及的事，和在他们中间所行的神迹，传于儿子和孙子的耳中，好叫你们知道我是耶和华。”

这样，你就可以把我如何严惩埃及人以及我在他们当中所行的神迹告诉你的子孙，好叫你们知道我是耶和华。”

并且要你把愚弄埃及人的事，和我在他们中间显出的神迹，都讲给你的子孙听；使你们知道我是耶和华。”

你好將我向埃及人所作弄的事、並在他們中間所施的神迹、敘說給你兒子和孫子聽，使你們知道我乃是永恆主。』

俾爾以我於埃及所為之事、暨行於其中之異蹟、告爾子若孫、使爾知我為耶和華、

俾爾以我所行於埃及之異跡、告爾子孫、則知我誠耶和華。○

使爾以我於伊及人間所行之事、所顯之異跡、傳於爾子爾孫、使爾知我乃主、

that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, and that you may know that I am the Lord.”

Then you will be able to tell your children and grandchildren how hard I was on the Egyptians. You can tell them I performed my signs among the people of Egypt. And all of you will know that I am the Lord.”

and that you may tell in the presence of your son, and of your grandson, how I made a mockery of the Egyptians and how I performed My signs among them, so that you may know that I am the Lord.”

and that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things I have wrought upon Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know that I am Jehovah.

and so that you may tell your son and grandson how severely I dealt with the Egyptians and performed miraculous signs among them, and you will know that I am Yahweh.”

And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son’s son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I[ am] the LORD.

and in order that in the hearing of your son and your grandson you may tell how I made fools of the Egyptians and about my signs that I displayed among them, so that you may know that I am the LORD.”

and that you may tell in the hearing of your son, and of your son’s son, what things I have done to Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that you may know that I am Yahweh.”

Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,

Tell your children about it, Let your children tell their children, And their children another generation.

So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is this?’ that you shall say to him,‘ By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

We have heard with our ears, O God, Our fathers have told us, The deeds You did in their days, In days of old:

Thus says the Lord:“ By this you shall know that I am the Lord. Behold, I will strike the waters which are in the river with the rod that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood.

“ When your son asks you in time to come, saying,‘ What is the meaning of the testimonies, the statutes, and the judgments which the Lord our God has commanded you?’then you shall say to your son:‘ We were slaves of Pharaoh in Egypt, and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand;and the Lord showed signs and wonders before our eyes, great and severe, against Egypt, Pharaoh, and all his household.

For He established a testimony in Jacob, And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers, That they should make them known to their children;That the generation to come might know them, The children who would be born, That they may arise and declare them to their children,

And you, fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath, but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

and I pronounced them unclean because of their ritual gifts, in that they caused all their firstborn to pass through the fire, that I might make them desolate and that they might know that I am the Lord.”’

So that men will say,“ Surely there is a reward for the righteous; Surely He is God who judges in the earth.”

When I brought them into the land concerning which I had raised My hand in an oath to give them, and they saw all the high hills and all the thick trees, there they offered their sacrifices and provoked Me with their offerings. There they also sent up their sweet aroma and poured out their drink offerings.

And you shall tell your son in that day, saying,‘ This is done because of what the Lord did for me when I came up from Egypt.’It shall be as a sign to you on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes, that the LORD’s law may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand the Lord has brought you out of Egypt.

Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, do not forsake me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come.

And it shall be, when your children say to you,‘ What do you mean by this service?’that you shall say,‘ It is the Passover sacrifice of the Lord, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.’” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped.
