Swarms of insects will destroy your trees and crops.

They will cover the land so that you won’t be able to see the ground. They will devour what little is left of your crops after the hailstorm, including all the trees growing in the fields.They will overrun your palaces and the homes of your officials and all the houses in Egypt. Never in the history of Egypt have your ancestors seen a plague like this one!” And with that, Moses turned and left Pharaoh.

They enter all the houses, climbing like thieves through the windows.The earth quakes as they advance, and the heavens tremble. The sun and moon grow dark, and the stars no longer shine.The Lord is at the head of the column. He leads them with a shout. This is his mighty army, and they follow his orders. The day of the Lord is an awesome, terrible thing. Who can possibly survive?

He spoke, and hordes of locusts came— young locusts beyond number.They ate up everything green in the land, destroying all the crops in their fields.
