Hear this, you elders; listen, all who live in the land. Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land.

The day of the Lord is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it?

He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number;they ate up every green thing in their land, ate up the produce of their soil.
