So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;

因他一吩咐，狂風就起來，海中的波浪也揚起。他們上到天空，下到海底；他們的心因患難便消化。他們搖搖晃晃，東倒西歪，好像醉酒的人；他們的智慧無法可施。於是，他們在苦難中哀求耶和華，他從他們的禍患中領出他們來。

他領東風起在天空，又用能力引了南風來。

眾人希奇，說：「這是怎樣的人？連風和海也聽從他了！」

日頭出來的時候，神安排炎熱的東風，日頭曝曬約拿的頭，使他發昏，他就為自己求死，說：「我死了比活着還好！」

他說一聲，就有蝗蟲螞蚱上來，不計其數，

然而耶和華使海中起大風，海就狂風大作，甚至船幾乎破壞。

火與冰雹，雪和霧氣，成就他命的狂風，

摩西向海伸杖，耶和華便用大東風，使海水一夜退去，水便分開，海就成了乾地。

隨後又長了七個穗子，又細弱又被東風吹焦了。
