So Moses stretched out his staff over Egypt, and the Lord made an east wind blow across the land all that day and all that night. By morning the wind had brought the locusts;

他一吩咐，暴風就興起，揚起海洋的波濤。他們上到天空，又下到深淵，在危急中魂飛魄散。他們搖搖晃晃，東倒西歪，好像醉酒的人，他們一切的智慧都毫無用處。於是他們在危難中向耶和華呼求，他就把他們從困境中領出來。

他使東風從天上颳起，以他的力量引領南風；

他們都感到驚奇，說：「這個人究竟是什麼人？連風和浪也聽從他！」

太陽升起的時候，神又指派了炎熱的東風；太陽直射在約拿的頭上，他就發昏。於是他為自己求死，說：「我死了比活著更好。」

他一發話，蝗蟲和螞蚱就來，數不勝數，

然而，耶和華使海上颳起大風，海上就起了大風暴，致使船幾乎要破裂。

烈火和冰雹、冰雪和雲霧、遵行他話語的暴風、

看哪！隨後又長出七個被東風吹焦的細弱穗子。
