So Moses stretched out his staff over the land of Egypt, and the LORD sent an east wind over the land all that day and through the night. By morning the east wind had brought in the locusts.

He spoke and raised a stormy wind that stirred up the waves of the sea.Rising up to the sky, sinking down to the depths, their courage melting away in anguish,they reeled and staggered like a drunkard, and all their skill was useless.Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress.

He made the east wind blow in the skies and drove the south wind by his might.

The men were amazed and asked,“ What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the sea obey him!”

As the sun was rising, God appointed a scorching east wind. The sun beat down on Jonah’s head so much that he almost fainted, and he wanted to die. He said,“ It’s better for me to die than to live.”

He spoke, and locusts came— young locusts without number.

But the LORD threw a great wind onto the sea, and such a great storm arose on the sea that the ship threatened to break apart.

lightning and hail, snow and cloud, stormy wind that executes his command,

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea. The LORD drove the sea back with a powerful east wind all that night and turned the sea into dry land. So the waters were divided,

After them, seven heads of grain, thin and scorched by the east wind, sprouted up.
