『論到我，我的約是同你立的；你必做羣國之父。你的名必不再叫亞伯蘭；你的名要改作亞伯拉罕，因為我已立了你做羣國之父。』我必使你的後裔極能生殖：我必使你立成為國；君王必從你而出。

你的後裔必像地上的塵沙那麼多；你必向西向東向北向南突破疆界；地上萬宗族必用你的名和你後裔的名給自己祝福。

我必使你的後裔增多、如同天上的星；我必將這一切地都賜給你的後裔；地上萬國都必用你後裔的名來給自己祝福。

願那贖救了我脫離一切禍患的那天使賜福與這兩個兒童；願他們稱為在我名下、也在我祖亞伯拉罕我父以撒名下的；願他們在全地中生養眾多。』
