as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.

Mordecai told the Jews to celebrate the time when they got rest from their enemies. That was the month when their sadness was turned into joy. It was when their weeping turned into a day for celebrating. He wrote the letters to celebrate those days as times of joy. He wanted the people to enjoy good food. He told them to give presents of food to one another. He also wanted them to give gifts to people who were poor.

所以住在无城墙的乡村的犹太人，都以亚达月十四日为设宴欢乐的吉日，彼此馈送礼物。

他们只要求我们记念穷人，这也是我一向热心在做的。

我实实在在地告诉你们，你们将要痛哭，哀号，世人反要欢喜。你们将要忧愁，然而你们的忧愁要变成喜乐。妇人生产的时候会忧愁，因为她的时候到了；但孩子一生出来，就不再记得那痛苦了，因为欢喜有一个人生在世上了。你们现在也是忧愁，但我要再见到你们，你们的心就会有喜乐了；这喜乐没有人能夺去。

只要把杯盘里面的施舍给人，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。

正月十三日，王的一些书记受召而来，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的语言，奉亚哈随鲁王的名写谕旨，又用王的戒指盖印，传给王的总督、各省的省长，以及各族的领袖。诏书由信差传到王的各省，限令一日之内，就是在十二月，亚达月十三日，把所有的犹太人，无论老少妇女孩子，全然剪除，杀戮灭绝，并抢夺他们的财产。

信的人都聚在一处，凡物公用，又卖了田产和家业，照每一个人所需要的分给他们。他们天天同心合意恒切地在圣殿里敬拜，且在家中擘饼，存着欢喜坦诚的心用饭，

我的心哪，你要称颂耶和华！不可忘记他一切的恩惠！

摩西对百姓说：“你们要记念从埃及为奴之家出来的这日，因为耶和华用大能的手将你们从这地领出来。有酵之物都不可吃。亚笔月的这一日你们走出来了。将来耶和华领你进迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你祖宗起誓应许给你的那流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这一个月守这礼仪。你要吃无酵饼七日，在第七日要向耶和华守节。这七日之内，要吃无酵饼；在你的全境内不可见有酵之物，也不可见酵母。当那日，你要告诉你的儿子说：‘这样做是因为耶和华在我出埃及的时候为我所做的事。’

哀恸的人有福了！因为他们必得安慰。

尼希米对他们说：“你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今日是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因靠耶和华而得的喜乐是你们的力量。”于是利未人叫众百姓安静，说：“安静，因今日是圣日，不要忧愁。”众百姓去吃喝，也分给别人，都大大喜乐，因为他们明白所教导他们的话。

在那日，你要说：“耶和华啊，我要称谢你！因为你虽然向我发怒，你的怒气却已转消；你又安慰了我。“看哪！上帝是我的拯救；我要倚靠他，并不惧怕。因为主耶和华是我的力量，是我的诗歌，他也成了我的拯救。”
