as the time when the Jews got relief from their enemies, and as the month when their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. He wrote them to observe the days as days of feasting and joy and giving presents of food to one another and gifts to the poor.

Mordecai told the Jews to celebrate the time when they got rest from their enemies. That was the month when their sadness was turned into joy. It was when their weeping turned into a day for celebrating. He wrote the letters to celebrate those days as times of joy. He wanted the people to enjoy good food. He told them to give presents of food to one another. He also wanted them to give gifts to people who were poor.

所以住无城墙乡村的犹大人，如今都以亚达月十四日为设筵欢乐的吉日，彼此馈送礼物。

只是愿意我们记念穷人；这也是我本来热心去行的。

我实实在在地告诉你们，你们将要痛哭、哀号，世人倒要喜乐；你们将要忧愁，然而你们的忧愁要变为喜乐。妇人生产的时候就忧愁，因为她的时候到了；既生了孩子，就不再记念那苦楚，因为欢喜世上生了一个人。你们现在也是忧愁，但我要再见你们，你们的心就喜乐了；这喜乐也没有人能夺去。

只要把里面的施舍给人，凡物于你们就都洁净了。

正月十三日，就召了王的书记来，照着哈曼一切所吩咐的，用各省的文字、各族的方言，奉亚哈随鲁王的名写旨意，传与总督和各省的省长，并各族的首领；又用王的戒指盖印，交给驿卒传到王的各省，吩咐将犹大人，无论老少妇女孩子，在一日之间，十二月，就是亚达月十三日，全然剪除，杀戮灭绝，并夺他们的财为掠物。

信的人都在一处，凡物公用，并且卖了田产、家业，照各人所需用的分给各人。他们天天同心合意恒切地在殿里，且在家中擘饼，存着欢喜、诚实的心用饭，

我的心哪，你要称颂耶和华！不可忘记他的一切恩惠！

摩西对百姓说：“你们要记念从埃及为奴之家出来的这日，因为耶和华用大能的手将你们从这地方领出来。有酵的饼都不可吃。亚笔月间的这日是你们出来的日子。将来耶和华领你进迦南人、赫人、亚摩利人、希未人、耶布斯人之地，就是他向你的祖宗起誓应许给你那流奶与蜜之地，那时你要在这月间守这礼。你要吃无酵饼七日，到第七日要向耶和华守节。这七日之久，要吃无酵饼；在你四境之内不可见有酵的饼，也不可见发酵的物。当那日，你要告诉你的儿子说：‘这是因耶和华在我出埃及的时候为我所行的事。

哀恸的人有福了！因为他们必得安慰。

又对他们说：“你们去吃肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能预备的就分给他，因为今日是我们主的圣日。你们不要忧愁，因靠耶和华而得的喜乐是你们的力量。”于是利未人使众民静默，说：“今日是圣日；不要作声，也不要忧愁。”众民都去吃喝，也分给人，大大快乐，因为他们明白所教训他们的话。

到那日，你必说：“耶和华啊，我要称谢你！因为你虽然向我发怒，你的怒气却已转消；你又安慰了我。看哪！神是我的拯救；我要倚靠他，并不惧怕。因为主耶和华是我的力量，是我的诗歌，他也成了我的拯救。”
