“ Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel. Put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.For when I have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.It will happen, when many evils and troubles have come on them, that this song will testify before them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten out of the mouths of their descendants; for I know their ways and what they are doing today, before I have brought them into the land which I promised them.”So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.

Then the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month Sivan, on the twenty- third day of the month; and it was written according to all that Mordecai commanded to the Jews, and to the local governors, and the governors and princes of the provinces which are from India to Ethiopia, one hundred twenty- seven provinces, to every province according to its writing, and to every people in their language, and to the Jews in their writing, and in their language.

One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works.Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh. Your saints will extol you.They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power,to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

Remember his marvelous works that he has done, his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth,
