Then the king’s scribes were called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and a decree was written according to all that Haman commanded— to the king’s satraps, to the governors who were over each province, to the officials of all people, to every province according to its script, and to every people in their language. In the name of King Ahasuerus it was written, and sealed with the king’s signet ring.

“ Now therefore, write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel; put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for Me against the children of Israel.When I have brought them to the land flowing with milk and honey, of which I swore to their fathers, and they have eaten and filled themselves and grown fat, then they will turn to other gods and serve them; and they will provoke Me and break My covenant.Then it shall be, when many evils and troubles have come upon them, that this song will testify against them as a witness; for it will not be forgotten in the mouths of their descendants, for I know the inclination of their behavior today, even before I have brought them to the land of which I swore to give them.”Therefore Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it to the children of Israel.

Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus( this was the Ahasuerus who reigned over one hundred and twenty-seven provinces, from India to Ethiopia),

So the king’s scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day; and it was written, according to all that Mordecai commanded, to the Jews, the satraps, the governors, and the princes of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, one hundred and twenty-seven provinces in all, to every province in its own script, to every people in their own language, and to the Jews in their own script and language.

One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, And on Your wondrous works.Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, And I will declare Your greatness.They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, And shall sing of Your righteousness.The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy.The Lord is good to all, And His tender mercies are over all His works.All Your works shall praise You, O Lord, And Your saints shall bless You.They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your power,To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.

Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
