Everything Haman commanded was written to the king’s satraps and governors who were in every province and to the officials of every people, province by province according to its script and people by people according to its language. In the name of King Ahasuerus it was written and sealed with the king’s signet ring.

Now write down for yourselves the following song and teach it to the Israelites. Put it into their very mouths so that this song may serve as my witness against the Israelites!For after I have brought them to the land I promised to their ancestors– one flowing with milk and honey– and they eat their fill and become fat, then they will turn to other gods and worship them; they will reject me and break my covenant.Then when many disasters and distresses overcome them this song will testify against them, for their descendants will not forget it. I know the intentions they have in mind today, even before I bring them to the land I have promised.”So on that day Moses wrote down this song and taught it to the Israelites,

The following events happened in the days of Ahasuerus.( I am referring to that Ahasuerus who used to rule over a hundred and twenty-seven provinces extending all the way from India to Ethiopia.)

The king’s scribes were quickly summoned– in the third month( that is, the month of Sivan), on the twenty-third day. They wrote out everything that Mordecai instructed to the Jews and to the satraps and the governors and the officials of the provinces all the way from India to Ethiopia– a hundred and twenty-seven provinces in all– to each province in its own script and to each people in their own language, and to the Jews according to their own script and their own language.

One generation will praise your deeds to another, and tell about your mighty acts!I will focus on your honor and majestic splendor, and your amazing deeds!They will proclaim the power of your awesome acts! I will declare your great deeds!They will talk about the fame of your great kindness, and sing about your justice.The LORD is merciful and compassionate; he is patient and demonstrates great loyal love.The LORD is good to all, and has compassion on all he has made.All he has made will give thanks to the LORD. Your loyal followers will praise you.They will proclaim the splendor of your kingdom; they will tell about your power,so that mankind might acknowledge your mighty acts, and the majestic splendor of your kingdom.

Recall the miraculous deeds he performed, his mighty acts and the judgments he decreed,
