今有歌一章、爾當錄之、教以色列人、使其口誦、使此歌為我作證在以色列人中、我既導之入我所誓許其祖之地、即流乳與蜜之地、彼得食而飽、身肥體胖、斯時也、必從異邦之神而服事之、干犯我怒、違背我約、迨遇多災多難、此歌既在其子孫口中諷誦不忘、即可向彼作證、我所誓許斯民之地、今我未導彼入之之時、我已知其心懷與其所將為者、當日摩西錄此歌教以色列人、○

亞哈隨魯王統轄一百二十七州、自印度至古實、在書珊城建都、坐其國位、

三月、即西彎月二十三日、乃召王之繕寫至、循末底改之所囑書詔、傳於一百二十七州之猶大人、及大臣、方伯、州牧、自印度至古實、皆用各州各族之文字方言、亦用猶大人之文字方言、

世世頌美主之作為、代代傳揚主之大能、我默念主之榮耀威嚴、默念主之奇跡、主所行之事、至大可畏、人人皆當稱頌、我必宣揚主至大之功能、人當極力讚主所施之大恩、永遠記念、並歌頌主之公義、惟主發慈愛、施憐憫、時常容忍、大賜恩惠、主施恩於萬民、憐恤所創造之萬物、主所創造之萬物、皆讚美主、主所選之虔誠人、悉讚美主、傳述主國之榮耀、宣揚主之大能、以主之能力、並主國之榮耀威嚴、傳於世人、

主之僕人以色列之後裔、主所選雅各之子孫、爾當追念主所行之奇事、追念主之異跡、並主口宣之判語、
