一月十三日，王的書記們被召來，照著哈曼所吩咐的一切，給王的行政官們、管理各省的省長和各民族的首領下旨，用各省的文字給各個省，用各民族的語言給各個民族，以亞哈隨魯王的名義下旨，又用王的印戒封印。

亞哈隨魯年間，亞哈隨魯統治著從印度到庫實的一百二十七個省；

那時是三月（西彎月）二十三日，王的書記們被召來，照著末迪凱所吩咐的一切，給猶太人下旨，也給從印度到庫實一百二十七個省的行政官、省長和各省的首領下旨，用各省的文字給各個省，用各民族的語言給各個民族，用猶太人的文字和語言給猶太人。

這世代要向那世代稱讚你所做的，並要宣告你的大能作為。我要默想你榮耀威嚴的尊榮，默想你的奇妙作為。人們要述說你行可畏之事的大能；我也要講述你的偉大。他們要傳揚你美善至尊的名，也要頌唱你的公義。耶和華有恩惠、有憐憫，不輕易發怒，並大有慈愛。耶和華善待萬有，他的憐憫臨到他所造的一切。耶和華啊，你所造的一切都要稱謝你，你的忠信者也要頌讚你！他們要述說你王權的榮耀，也要宣告你的大能；為要讓世人知道你的大能作為，以及你王權威嚴的榮耀。
