王准各城各镇的犹太人在一日之内，在十二月，就是亚达月的十三日聚集，在亚哈随鲁王的各省保护自己的性命，剪除，杀戮，灭绝那要攻击犹太人的各省各族所有的军队，以及他们的妻子儿女，夺取他们的财产为掠物。

哈曼将他的荣华富贵、众多的儿女，和王使他尊大、提升他高过官长和臣仆的事，都述说给他们听。

凡是你的东西，就是一根线、一条鞋带，我都不拿，免得你说：‘是我使亚伯兰富足！’

他必从光明中被驱逐到黑暗里，他必被赶出世界。他在自己百姓中必无子无孙，在寄居之地也没有幸存者。

“这是上帝为恶人所定的份，残暴人从全能者所得的产业：倘若他的儿女增多，仍被刀所杀；他的子孙必不得饱食。他遗留的人必死而埋葬，他的寡妇也不哀哭。

不可跪拜那些像，也不可事奉它们，因为我耶和华—你的上帝是忌邪的上帝。恨我的，我必惩罚他们的罪，自父及子，直到三、四代；

他说：“我指着耶和华的宝座发誓，耶和华必世世代代和亚玛力争战。”

末了，弟兄们，凡是真实的、凡是可敬的、凡是公义的、凡是清洁的、凡是可爱的、凡是有美名的，若有什么德行，若有什么称赞，你们都要留意。

亚达月十四日，在书珊的犹太人又聚集，在书珊杀了三百人，却没有下手夺取财物。亚达月十三日，在王各省其余的犹太人也都聚集，保护自己的性命，摆脱仇敌得享平安。他们杀了七万五千个恨他们的人，却没有下手夺取财物；十四日他们休息，以这日为设宴欢乐的日子。

以斯帖说：“仇人敌人就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前非常惊惶。

愿无人向他布施恩惠，无人恩待他的孤儿！愿他的后人断绝，名字被涂去，不传于下代！

因为我和我的本族被出卖了，要被剪除，杀戮，灭绝。我们若被卖为奴为婢，我就闭口不言；但我们的痛苦比起王的损失，算不得什么。”

不要以恶报恶，众人以为美的事要留心去做。

你必从世上灭绝他们的幼苗，从人间灭绝他们的后裔。

这些事以后，亚哈随鲁王使亚甲人哈米大他的儿子哈曼尊大，提升了他，叫他的爵位超过所有与他同朝的官长。
