有一个伺候王名叫哈波拿的太监说：“看哪，哈曼还为那报告给王、救王有功的末底改做了一个五十肘高的木架，现今立在哈曼的家里。”王说：“把哈曼挂在木架上。”

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs attending the king, said,“ A pole reaching to a height of fifty cubits stands by Haman’s house. He had it set up for Mordecai, who spoke up to help the king.” The king said,“ Impale him on it!”

Then Harbona said,“ There’s a pole standing near Haman’s house. He has prepared it for Mordecai. Mordecai is the one who spoke up to help you. Haman had planned to have him put to death. He was going to have the pole stuck through his body. Then he was going to set it up at a place where it would be 75 feet above the ground.” Harbona was one of the officials who attended the king. The king said to his men,“ Put Haman to death! Stick the pole through his body! Set it up where everyone can see it!”

Then Harbona, one of the eunuchs in attendance on the king, said,“ Moreover, the gallows that Haman has prepared for Mordecai, whose word saved the king, is standing at Haman’s house, fifty cubits high.” And the king said,“ Hang him on that.”

Then Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Haman has set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy five feet tall in his own courtyard. He intended to use it to impale Mordecai, the man who saved the king from assassination.”“ Then impale Haman on it!” the king ordered.

Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ There is a gallows seventy-five feet tall at Haman’s house that he made for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” The king said,“ Hang him on it.”

Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs who stood before the king, said,“ Indeed, behold, the wooden gallows standing at Haman’s house fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai who spoke good in behalf of the king!” And the king said,“ Hang him on it.”

Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king,“ Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said,“ Hang him on it!”

Then said Harbonah, one of the chamberlains that were before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman hath made for Mordecai, who spake good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him thereon.

Harbona, one of the royal eunuchs, said:“ There is a gallows 75 feet tall at Haman’s house that he made for Mordecai, who gave the report that saved the king.” The king commanded,“ Hang him on it.”

And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon.

Harbona, one of the king’s eunuchs, said,“ Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king’s behalf. It stands near Haman’s home and is seventy-five feet high.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”

Then Harbonah, one of the eunuchs who were with the king said,“ Behold, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman has made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, is standing at Haman’s house.” The king said,“ Hang him on it!”

他挖掘坑穴，挖得深深的，自己卻掉進所挖的陷阱裡。他的惡毒必回到自己的頭上，他的強暴必落在自己的頭頂上。

完全人的公義，必使自己的路平坦正直，但惡人必因自己的邪惡跌倒。正直人的公義必拯救自己，但奸詐人必陷溺於自己的惡慾中。

他的妻子細利斯和他所有的朋友都對他說：“叫人立一個二十二公尺高的木架，明早求王，把末底改掛在上面，然後你可以歡歡喜喜地與王一同赴筵席了。”這話使哈曼很滿意，就叫人做了木架。

第七日，亞哈隨魯王因飲酒心裡高興，就吩咐侍候在他面前的七個太監：米戶幔、比斯他、哈波拿、比革他、亞拔他、西達、甲迦，

願毀滅在不知不覺間臨到他身上，願他暗設的網羅纏住自己，願他落在其中遭毀滅。

願惡人都落在自己的網羅裡，我卻得以安然逃脫。

但這事呈到王面前以後，王使用文書降旨吩咐，使哈曼計謀的惡事，就是他設謀陷害猶大人的事歸到他自己的頭上，又使人把他和他的眾子掛在木架上。

他們忽然間成了多麼荒涼，被突然的驚恐完全消滅。

大衛跑過去，站在那非利士人的身邊，拿起他的刀來，把刀從鞘中拔出來，殺死他，又用刀砍下他的頭。非利士人看見他們的勇士死了，就都逃跑。

列國陷入自己挖掘的坑中，他們的腳在自己暗設的網裡纏住了。耶和華已經把自己顯明，又施行了審判；惡人被自己手所作的纏住了。（希迦庸、細拉）

那時，末底改坐在朝門那裡，王有兩個守門的太監：辟探和提列，一時因為惱怒，正想下手害亞哈隨魯王。這陰謀給末底改知道了，他就告訴王后以斯帖；以斯帖就以末底改的名義對王說起這事。那陰謀查究起來，就發現真相；於是把二人懸掛在木架上。這事在王面前曾寫於史記。

驚恐必如眾水追上他，暴風在夜間把他颳去。東風把他吹起，他就消逝；又把他捲起，離開原來的地方。神射擊他，毫不留情，他甚願快快逃脫神的手。有人向他拍掌，發噝聲趕他離開原來的地方。”

王下令，人就把那些誣衊控告但以理的人，連同他們的妻子和兒女都一起帶來，扔在獅子坑中；他們還沒有下到坑底，獅子就抓住他們，把他們所有的骨頭都咬碎了。

他們還與哈曼說話的時候，王的太監來了，催哈曼快走，赴以斯帖預備的筵席。

有一處記著說：王有兩個守門的太監：辟探和提列，企圖要謀害亞哈隨魯王；這事給末底改告發了。

我曾看見強暴的惡人興旺，像樹木在本土茂盛。但他很快就消逝，不再存在了；我尋找他，卻找不到。

國中所有的監察司、總監、總督、謀臣和省長，一同商議，請王立一條法例，實施一道禁令：無論何人，在三十天內，王啊！除了向你以外，若向任何神或任何人求甚麼，就必扔在獅子坑中。

耶戶抬頭對著窗戶，說：“有誰擁護我？誰？”立時有兩三個太監往外望著他。
