The king got up in a rage, left his wine and went out into the palace garden. But Haman, realizing that the king had already decided his fate, stayed behind to beg Queen Esther for his life.

瓦实提王后却不肯遵照太监所传的王命前来，所以王非常愤怒，怒火中烧。

王的愤怒好像狮子吼叫；他的恩惠却如草上的甘露。

约拿单说：“绝无此事！我若确实知道我父亲决意害你，怎么会不告诉你呢？”

当时，尼布甲尼撒怒气填胸，向沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌变了脸色，命令把窑烧热，比平常热七倍；

那属撒但会堂的，自称是犹太人，其实不是犹太人，而是说谎话的，我要使他们来到你脚前下拜，使他们知道我已经爱你了。

压制你的，他的子孙必来向你屈身；藐视你的，都要在你脚前下拜。人要称你为“耶和华的城”，为“以色列圣者的锡安”。

现在，你当知道，看怎样做才好。不然，祸患必定临到我主人和他全家。他性情凶暴，无人敢与他说话。”

坏人在善人面前俯伏；恶人在义人门口也是如此。

恶人看见就愤怒，必咬牙而消亡，恶人的心愿要归于幻灭。

你父亲若说好，你的仆人就平安了；他若大怒，你就知道他决意行恶。

这些日子满了，王又为所有住书珊城堡的百姓，无论大小，在御花园的院子里摆设宴席七日。
