蓋我與我民、為人所陷、殺戮殞亡、即鬻我為奴婢、我亦無詞、惟有損於王、敵雖輸金、無所裨補。

For I and my people have been sold to be destroyed, killed and annihilated. If we had merely been sold as male and female slaves, I would have kept quiet, because no such distress would justify disturbing the king.”

王若以为好，请下谕旨灭绝他们，我就捐一万他连得银子交给管财政的人，纳入王的府库。”

耶和华要用船把你送回埃及去，走那我曾告诉你不再看见的路；在那里你们必卖身给你的仇敌作奴婢，却没有人要买。”

诏书由信差传到王的各省，限令一日之内，就是在十二月，亚达月十三日，把所有的犹太人，无论老少妇女孩子，全然剪除，杀戮灭绝，并抢夺他们的财产。

王准各城各镇的犹太人在一日之内，在十二月，就是亚达月的十三日聚集，在亚哈随鲁王的各省保护自己的性命，剪除，杀戮，灭绝那要攻击犹太人的各省各族所有的军队，以及他们的妻子儿女，夺取他们的财产为掠物。

并将犹大人和耶路撒冷人卖给希腊人，使他们远离自己的疆界。

我们为你的缘故终日被杀，人看我们如将宰的羊。主啊，求你睡醒，为何尽睡呢？求你醒来，不要永远丢弃我们！

你可以住在我这里，不要惧怕。因为寻索你命的也要寻索我的命，你在我这里可得保护。”

犹大对他的兄弟们说：“我们杀我们的弟弟，遮掩他的血有什么好处呢？来，我们把他卖给以实玛利人，不要下手害他，因为他是我们的弟弟，我们的骨肉。”他的兄弟们就听从了他。那时，有些米甸的商人从那里经过，就把约瑟从坑里拉上来。他们以二十块银子把约瑟卖给以实玛利人，他们就把约瑟带到埃及去了。

以斯帖说：“仇人敌人就是这恶人哈曼！”哈曼在王和王后面前非常惊惶。

末底改把自己遭遇的一切，以及哈曼为灭绝犹太人答应捐入王库的银数都告诉了他；又把那传遍书珊、要灭绝犹太人的谕旨抄本交给哈他革，要他给以斯帖看，并向她说明，嘱咐她去晋见王，向王恳求，为本族的人在王面前请命。

耶和华如此说：“以色列三番四次犯罪，为银子卖了义人，为一双鞋卖了穷人，我必不撤销对它的惩罚。

现在，我们的身体与我们弟兄的身体是一样的，我们的儿女与他们的儿女没有差别。看哪，我们却要迫使儿女作人的奴婢。我们有些女儿已被抢走了，我们却无能为力，因为我们的田地和葡萄园已经归了别人。”

现在你们当受诅咒！你们中间必不断有人作奴仆，为我上帝的殿作劈柴挑水的人。”
