When Haman entered, the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man the king delights to honor?” Now Haman thought to himself,“ Who is there that the king would rather honor than me?”

哈曼就进去。王问他说：“王所喜悦尊荣的人，当如何待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王所喜悦尊荣的，不是我是谁呢？”

哈曼进来后，王问他：“王愿意赏识一个人，该怎么做呢？”哈曼心想：“王愿意赏识的人不是我是谁呢？”

哈曼就进去，王问他：“王喜欢赐尊荣给他的人，要怎样待他呢？”哈曼心里想：“王喜欢赐尊荣的人，除我以外，还有谁呢？”

哈曼进来了，王问他：“王愿意赐予尊荣的人，应该怎么对待他呢？”哈曼心里说：“王愿意赐予尊荣的人，除我以外，还会有谁呢？”

哈曼就進去。王問他說：「王所喜悅尊榮的人，當如何待他呢？」哈曼心裏說：「王所喜悅尊榮的，不是我是誰呢？」

哈曼進來了，王問他：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，應該怎麼對待他呢？」哈曼心裡說：「王願意賜予尊榮的人，除我以外，還會有誰呢？」

Haman entered. Then the king asked him,“ What should be done for the man I want to honor?” Haman said to himself,“ Is there anyone the king would rather honor than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king said to him,“ What should be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” And Haman said to himself,“ Whom would the king delight to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in, and the king said,“ What should I do to honor a man who truly pleases me?” Haman thought to himself,“ Whom would the king wish to honor more than me?”

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honor? Now Haman said in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?

So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself?

So Haman came in. The king said to him,“ What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor?” Now Haman said in his heart,“ Who would the king delight to honor more than myself?”

Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall.

The pride of your heart has deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks and make your home on the heights, you who say to yourself,‘ Who can bring me down to the ground?’

Haman boasted to them about his vast wealth, his many sons, and all the ways the king had honored him and how he had elevated him above the other nobles and officials.

All the royal officials at the king’s gate knelt down and paid honor to Haman, for the king had commanded this concerning him. But Mordecai would not kneel down or pay him honor.Then the royal officials at the king’s gate asked Mordecai,“ Why do you disobey the king’s command?”

May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say,“ The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant.”

So he answered the king,“ For the man the king delights to honor,

For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;

And a voice from heaven said,“ This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”

I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

Before a downfall the heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor.

those whose eyes are ever so haughty, whose glances are so disdainful;

Then let the robe and horse be entrusted to one of the king’s most noble princes. Let them robe the man the king delights to honor, and lead him on the horse through the city streets, proclaiming before him,‘ This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!’”

“ Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the Lord will take delight in you, and your land will be married.As a young man marries a young woman, so will your Builder marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.

So Haman got the robe and the horse. He robed Mordecai, and led him on horseback through the city streets, proclaiming before him,“ This is what is done for the man the king delights to honor!”
