王便問：「末底改既行此事，可曾賜他什麼尊榮和爵位嗎？」服侍王的臣僕回答說：「沒有賜他什麼。」

王说：“末底改行了这事，赐他什么尊荣爵位没有？”伺候王的臣仆回答说：“没有赐他什么。”

王说：“末底改做了这事，有没有赐给他什么尊荣或高位呢？”伺候王的臣仆说：“没有赐给他什么。”

“ What honor and recognition has Mordecai received for this?” the king asked.“ Nothing has been done for him,” his attendants answered.

“ What great honor has Mordecai received for doing that?” the king asked.“ Nothing has been done for him,” his attendants answered.

And the king said,“ What honor or distinction has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” The king’s young men who attended him said,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

“ What reward or recognition did we ever give Mordecai for this?” the king asked. His attendants replied,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

The king inquired,“ What honor and special recognition have been given to Mordecai for this act?” The king’s personal attendants replied,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

Then the king said,“ What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” And the king’s servants who attended him said,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

Then the king said,“ What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” And the king’s servants who attended him said,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

And the king said, What honor and dignity hath been bestowed on Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

The king inquired,“ What honor and special recognition have been given to Mordecai for this act?” The king’s personal attendants replied,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king’s servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him.

The king asked,“ What great honor was bestowed on Mordecai because of this?” The king’s attendants who served him responded,“ Not a thing was done for him.”

The king said,“ What honor and dignity has been given to Mordecai for this?” Then the king’s servants who attended him said,“ Nothing has been done for him.”

於是，伯沙撒下令給但以理穿上紫袍，戴上金項鏈，又宣告他在國中位居第三。

迦勒說：「誰攻取基列·西弗，我就把女兒押撒嫁給他。」迦勒的兄弟基納斯的兒子俄陀聶攻取了那城，迦勒便把女兒押撒嫁給他。

以色列人彼此議論說：「看那個人！他是來向以色列軍罵陣的。誰要能殺死他，王必有重賞，還會把女兒嫁給他為妻，並免去他父親家在以色列應繳的賦稅。」大衛問站在旁邊的人：「如果有人殺了這非利士人，洗掉以色列人的羞辱，他會得到什麼呢？這個未受割禮的非利士人是誰？竟敢向永活上帝的軍隊罵陣！」

大衛說：「誰先攻打耶布斯人，誰就做元帥。」洗魯雅的兒子約押首先進攻，於是就做了元帥。
