And Haman told his wife Zeresh and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and his wife Zeresh said to him,“ If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of the Jewish people, you will not overcome him but will surely fall before him.”

When Haman told his wife, Zeresh, and all his friends what had happened, his wise advisers and his wife said,“ Since Mordecai— this man who has humiliated you— is of Jewish birth, you will never succeed in your plans against him. It will be fatal to continue opposing him.”

And Haman recounted unto Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai, before whom thou hast begun to fall, be of the seed of the Jews, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him.

Haman then related to his wife Zeresh and to all his friends everything that had happened to him. These wise men, along with his wife Zeresh, said to him,“ If indeed this Mordecai before whom you have begun to fall is Jewish, you will not prevail against him. No, you will surely fall before him!”

Haman recounted to Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened to him. Then his wise men and Zeresh his wife said to him,“ If Mordecai, before whom you have begun to fall, is of Jewish descent, you will not prevail against him, but you will surely fall before him.”

行事纯全的，必得到拯救；道路歪邪的，瞬间就仆倒。

三天之内，法老要抬起你的头，把头从你身上取去，然后把你挂在木头上，而飞鸟将要从你身上吃你的肉。”

王因此发怒，极其震怒，下令消灭巴比伦的所有智慧人。

但哈曼忍住怒火回家去了，然后派人请来他的朋友们和他的妻子细利斯。哈曼向他们讲述了他的富贵荣华、他儿女的众多，以及王怎样高抬他、提拔他高过首领们和王的臣仆们的一切事。哈曼又说：“不但这样，除我以外，王后以斯帖没有请别人与王一同去赴她摆设的宴席；而且明天我又被她邀请与王一同去。然而，每当我看见坐在御门那里的犹太人末迪凯，这一切对我就都没有意义了！”他的妻子细利斯和他所有的朋友就对他说：“你让人做一个高五十肘的木架，明天清晨请王吩咐人把末迪凯挂在其上；然后你就欢喜地与王一同去赴宴席吧！”这事在哈曼面前显为好，他就让人做了一个木架。

这句话的释义是这样的：‘弥尼’就是神已经数算了你国的年日，使它终结了；‘提客勒’就是在天平上你已经被称量了，发现了亏缺；‘赔珥新’就是你的国已经被分割，赐给了米底亚和波斯。”

耶和华必将以色列与你一同交在非利士人手中，明天你和你的儿子们就会与我在一起了；耶和华也必将以色列军兵交在非利士人手中。”扫罗立刻整个身体仆倒在地，他因撒母耳的话极其害怕，并且浑身无力，因为他整日整夜都没有吃东西。

到了早晨，法老灵里烦乱，就派人召来了埃及所有的术士和智慧人。法老向他们讲述了他的梦，但没有人能为法老解梦。
