On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance.

「你去召集書珊城所有的猶太人為我禁食，三天三夜不吃不喝，我和我的宮女也要這樣禁食。然後，我要違例去見王，我若死就死吧。」

「王的所有臣僕和各省人民都知道有一條法令，不論男女，未蒙宣召擅入內院去見王的必被處死，除非王向他伸出金杖，他才能活命。現在我已有三十天未蒙王召見了。」

末底改身穿藍色和白色朝服，頭戴大金冠，披著紫色細麻布外袍，從王那裡出來，書珊城的人都歡呼雀躍。

使你們在我的國中和我一同坐席，並且坐在寶座上審判以色列的十二個支派。」

王又造了一個象牙寶座，外面用純金包裹。這寶座有六級臺階，靠背是圓形的，兩旁有扶手，扶手兩邊各站著一頭獅子。六級臺階上共站著十二頭獅子，每級臺階兩端各站一頭。這寶座舉世無雙。

所以請你命人看守墳墓三天，以防祂的門徒偷走祂的屍體，然後對百姓說祂已經從死裡復活。這樣的迷惑會比以前的更厲害！」

去請瓦實提王后戴著后冠到王面前，向百姓和官員展現她的美貌，因為她非常美麗。

「聽著，我差你們出去，就好像使羊走進狼群一般。所以，你們要像蛇一樣機靈，像鴿子一樣馴良。
