He also gave him a copy of the text of the edict for their annihilation, which had been published in Susa, to show to Esther and explain it to her, and he told him to instruct her to go into the king’s presence to beg for mercy and plead with him for her people.

Mordecai also gave Hathak a copy of the order. It commanded people to wipe out the Jews. The order had been sent from Susa. Mordecai told Hathak to show the order to Esther. He wanted Hathak to explain it to her. Mordecai told him to tell her to go and beg the king for mercy. Mordecai wanted her to make an appeal to the king for her people.

Mordecai also gave him a copy of the written decree issued in Susa for their destruction, that he might show it to Esther and explain it to her and command her to go to the king to beg his favor and plead with him on behalf of her people.

掌权者的怒气若向你发作，不要离开你的本位，因为镇定能平息大过。

我虽有义，也不能回答，我要向那审判我的恳求。

以斯帖遵照末底改所嘱咐的，没有将籍贯宗族告诉人；以斯帖照末底改的吩咐去做，正如受他抚养的时候一样。

这谕旨的抄本以敕令的方式在各省颁布，通知各族，预备等候那日。信差奉王的命令急忙起行，敕令传遍了书珊城堡。王同哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城堡却陷入慌乱中。

希律向推罗和西顿的人发怒。他们那一带地方是从王的土地供应粮食的，因此就托了王的内侍大臣伯拉斯都的情，一心来求和。

我在那赐生命给万物的神面前，并在向本丢‧彼拉多作过那美好见证的基督耶稣面前嘱咐你：

以斯帖王后回答说：“王啊，我若在你眼前蒙恩，王若以为好，我所要的，是王把我的性命赐给我；我所求的，是求我的本族。因为我和我的本族被出卖了，要被剪除，杀戮，灭绝。我们若被卖为奴为婢，我就闭口不言；但我们的痛苦比起王的损失，算不得什么。”

我何忍见我本族的人受害？何忍见我同宗的人被灭呢？”

王的心在耶和华手中像河水，他能使它随意流转。

我对王说：“愿王万岁！我祖先坟墓所在的那城荒凉，城门被火焚烧，我岂能面无愁容呢？”王对我说：“你想求什么？”于是我向天上的神祈祷。我对王说：“王若以为好，仆人若在王面前蒙恩，求王差遣我往犹大，到我祖先坟墓所在的那城去，我好重新建造。”

王的震怒是死亡的使者，但智慧人能平息王怒。王脸上的光使人有生命，他的恩惠好像云带来的春雨。

至于那些今世富足的人，你要嘱咐他们不要自高，也不要倚赖靠不住的钱财；要倚靠那厚赐万物给我们享受的神。
